Learning about our river
|
|
The Jaguaribe river flows from Joaninha Mountain Mountain (located at Tauá/Ce (city) to where it meets the Atlantic Ocean near Aracati, Ceará state. Over its 633 kilometers, this river supplies water to many cities. The Jaguaribe river used to be the largest dried river in the world. Thanks to the artificial lake, Orós, this is no longer the case. The pictures illustrate the differences between the river in the past and the present. We want to discover its history and importance for our region. |
