Cutting Trees

If you could go back in time ten years, this picture would be very different. In this place existed a very deep and wild forest. Today it is very "clean," don't you think? This area has been logged. In this case, though, it was not a problem. In fact, it was a solution. Brazilian scientists hired people who lived in Jau to do this work. Everything was completely legal. The trees were cut to make a path for scientists to enter the jungle for study. It is part of the long journey to discover the secrets of nature in Jau.
